This week’s theme is “National Pet Month”! We received some great recommendations for first time pet owners:
Stacie – “My tip for new pet owner’s is always do the research on the breed of animal that you are getting. This way, you can learn any health concerns, bloodlines, training techniques, and bond better with your dog. I love helping other’s with their pets, as I used to work for the LCHS and have been an avid dog lover for 27 years! I currently have 3 dogs myself.”
Meagan – “Always spring for the good flea and tick control. Its much cheaper then having fleas in your house.”
Mary-Kate – “I second the good tick and flea control! Esp with how bad ticks get around here!”
Janice – “Puppys and kittens are cute, but they grow fast. There are lots of lovable adult dogs and cats that need forever homes. Consider adopting an “adult” pet from the humane society.”
Michael – “I would recommend purchasing a puppy based on personality and not cuteness spend some time with the dog to make sure it’s a perfect fit for your family.”
